When you visit
The site sets no cookies for visitors and loads nothing from other companies. Our host, Vercel, keeps short technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run the site and keep it secure. Visit statistics are counted without cookies and without identifying you (Vercel Web Analytics, switched on at launch).
When you buy
- Your email address and payment are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- A small access cookie (__Host-fh) keeps your library open on your device. It holds a signed reference to your purchase, nothing else, and it is not used for tracking.
- Your library link is sent by email through Resend.
- The book files are stored and delivered by Cloudflare.
- Your library remembers your place, speed and settings in your own browser (local storage). That stays on your device.
Why we use it
To sell you the book and deliver it (our contract with you), to keep the accounts the law requires (legal obligation), and to keep the site secure (legitimate interest).
Who handles it for us
Stripe (payment), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (file storage and delivery) and Resend (email). Some of them are based in the United States; transfers rely on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept for seven years, as Swedish bookkeeping law requires. Your email address is kept for as long as your library exists, so that we can send your link again. Technical logs are kept for a short time only.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it (where the law allows), to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to contact@thefalsehealer.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY, imy.se).
